.... and change the color value of @define-color super-light-aubergine to what ever color you want to define background."
What this means is say you want it black just change the @define-color super-light-aubergine to #000000 I'm looking into how I can add this css file into my themes so it will look to that instead of the one he mentions in /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css but until then try it it does work
Updated 2/17/2012: This is the completed GTK-2/3 theme. I fixed the GTK-2 theme so if you just downloaded it try again
Just something I came up with, it's totally based off of adwaita I re-colored and tweaked everything. I may even add different colors I like this one because of the slider button images and the button look. I'm still learning as I go hope everyone likes it Also I used the window borders from of ANewStartBlood by *alecive [link]
Nice. Now it would be cool if the text on the Unity Panel would be brighter. But I guess you are not using Ubuntu, at all... And I, personally, don't know how to fix it. :-/ But still much better than black on black, that was on the other theme. Thank you!
Yeah your right I don't use ubuntu, but I have it installed on a old computer and will look into that. I will be going through all my themes. Adjusting and applying what I've learned so far, keep watching
Sweet!! that works my friend thanks for sharing. What would be really cool is if you could just add that softwarecenter.css file to whatever theme you wanted to use instead of having to manually do it. Thanks again
what ever you changed to create this time from your black and black theme, google chrome no longer has the ugly gray background!!!! any chance of a update to black and black?
yeah I noticed that. I was just testing it more before I make changes everywhere else. I was even thinking of making this one the new back n black one. As I have learned a lot since the b n b one . How this one working for you?
"Only bug I have noticed so far is fonts unreadable in Ubunut Software Center the fix for this is to in terminal type...
sudo gedit /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/softwarecenter.css
.... and change the color value of @define-color super-light-aubergine to what ever color you want to define background."
