Black and White Delight by CraazyT Black and White Delight by CraazyT
"Updated!!" I added few touches to this, I made the popup menus more rounded added a little blue to the calendar, darkened and changed folder icons. Changed the top bar color to match the gtk grey colors.

I changed the the message tray, hotplug, and chat to use the black transparent. So it looks like the popups on the top panel (meaning it looks like the calendar when you click on it.) I also changed the overview removing the border around the work spaces. I think it looks cleaner. I decided to upload it as a shell theme. All feedback is welcome good or bad :D

I decided to release this as a theme, you can download it now. I forgot to mention this theme has a nice gdm theme with it that I modified ;)

I updated the mintmenu by changing the scrollbar to grey and few other mods. If you want this as a shell theme let me know thanks :)

I'm really getting the hang of this now LOL!! This is something I threw together tonight, just me trying somethings. Credit goes to the original authors listed below.

OS: Arch Linux (installed with ArchBang)

Based off of Gnome Shell Theme: True Elements [link] (I modified by giving the panel more shadow, removed background image from the overview, changed bottom panel to wing panel notifier to bottom right.

GTK3 Theme: Radiamentary by ~NanaBuluku [link] (I changed the blue to dark grey)

Icon Theme: AwOken Dark [link] (as always awesome!!)

Added Arch icon to mint menu and removed the menu text

Cairo-Dock with AwOken Dark Icons at the bottom.

Try searching for lxappearance in mint's sofware center (or whatever it's called). It should be in there I thought mint has a lxde version? That is probably the fastest way to change it. I'm sure some one else may have a better way but that worked for me. Let me know when you figure it out I'd like to see some screenshots :)

I am using linux mint 12.
I wanted to mimic the look of a graphite leopard theme. The only cupertino theme in gtk3 is adwaita cupertino and its bluish(aqua).
I wanted to replace the blues with greys.

Also, GTK3 themes are CSS so you can just adjust the colors within a theme that is already created. Do a search for rgba colors and hex colors there's web sites out there that have color pickers (or choosers). I just started theming so I may be wrong on this but I have done enough searching and asking questions from people who really know. That's the only way to learn right?

What distro are you using? I just installed lxappearance and ran that I know you could use something else like the widget factory or I'm actually looking at A widget factory which is in Arch Linux AUR.

The mintmenu goes to the top when you don't use the bottom panel extension. No it doesn't remove the dash but go to this link and search for the Hide Dash extension. [link] I just found it yesterday and love it as I don't use the dash or the overview that much. Go to your extensions folder (mines in /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions) look for menu@linuxmint.com (that is mine). Go into that folder the into icons I just renamed the menu.png and copied my arch logo to this folder and renamed it to menu.png. If you want to get rid of the text that says Menu go to this [link] and follow his instructions. And thx 4 liking my desktop :D
