what a panel is but a wing-panel I have no idea
I was something elementaryos made awhile ago but are not now. I thought it was a good idea and knew I could use the same thing in kde. It's just a panel with the systray in it that I hide make it look so much cleaner IMHO
panel take up horizontally less space as
maximized windows will still not be able to
use that space? you will just get a empty
area where the panel should be.... well, it
does look cleaner I guess
as I can think of nothing more irritating then
a panel on autohide
with that at school due to a little screen...

Yeah there is no absolute truth here, it's
very individual what works.
I remember those win XP days I hated that to but of course I hated the standar look of XP anyways with that ugly blue bar hehe! I always changed it back to the win 95/98 look Shooty I even did that with Vista and 7 as well haha!!
