Oh I though you were kidding sorry man,

I was something elementaryos made awhile ago but are not now. I thought it was a good idea and knew I could use the same thing in kde. It's just a panel with the systray in it that I hide make it look so much cleaner IMHO ;)

Oh! Ic, isn't it a little pointless to have a
panel take up horizontally less space as
maximized windows will still not be able to
use that space? you will just get a empty
area where the panel should be.... well, it
does look cleaner I guess :)

Nah...I have it auto-hide so maximized windows use the whole screen. plus I have my window buttons on the left so it's all good ;) Plus you know me I like experimenting hehe!!

Hehe, I guess we have different needs then,,,
as I can think of nothing more irritating then
a panel on autohide :D I remember using windows xp
with that at school due to a little screen...
never again ;-)

Yeah there is no absolute truth here, it's
very individual what works.

Yep I like trying different layouts and with kde it is totally possible to make it look however you want. Now on my work computer it's a different story I have the standard panel and Xbar but at home I like tweaking everything.

I remember those win XP days I hated that to but of course I hated the standar look of XP anyways with that ugly blue bar hehe! I always changed it back to the win 95/98 look Shooty I even did that with Vista and 7 as well haha!!
