So for a Friday I thought I would release my Black-Transparent Plasma and bespin themes together in the zip file. This is my first attempt at making a plasma theme other than for myself so it may not work right for you.
It's actually a few themes mixed together so credit goes to the authors of the following for creating awesome work Air, Caledonia [link] and Ronak by the Chakra-Project [link] and the bespin is just Cupertino.100a that is included in the svn of bespin that I re-colored black and made it transparent.
Instructions extract it and move the black-transparent.bespin out and into your home folder and copy the plasma theme to your .kde or .kde4/share/apps/desktopthemes
To use the bespin just open up the bespin config and go to presets then import it.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
OS: Arch Linux DE: KDE 4.8 Theme: bespin Cupertino.100a (that I re-colored black) Plasma Theme: Black-Transparent with a gradient Icons : Kawoken [link] Wallpaper: I don't remember where I got these.
i like your plasma theme very much, i'll just note - either something's wrong with my setup or the theme is missing the network management icon in the systray.
kde networkmanager or whatever the stock thing in fedora is - i'm new to KDE, sorry yeah it does show up, but only as a white square. all other icons show up fine.
couldn't get it to work, just that one icon. went and replaced the whole icon folder from another theme and it's okay now. i really like the theme, good balance of darkness and transparency
That is weird, I haven't had that problem. But I'm glad you figured it out, Thank you yeah I think it turned out well. Like I said this is my first public plasma theme everything worked for me but didn't know how it would work for everyone else.
yeah it does show up, but only as a white square. all other icons show up fine.
then log out then back in and see if it shows up.
