I finally completed my first theme ever, there are still a few things I'd like to modify but will do in time. I called it ANewLook and it's based off of gnome-shell-theme-ANewStart by *alecive [link] (who has been a big help to me in figuring things out, thx my friend If you want the wallpaper and icons you can get them from the links I have listed below. I learned a lot working on this and hope to do more in the future. Thx again to all the original authors for their creativity.
If anyone has any problems with it let me know and I will try to help if I can. I'm still learning to theme so forgive me if I don't know everything
Hope you like it and please leave a comment thx
First off,
I want to thank all that I listed here, without their knowledge and artistic ability I would have never been inspired to tweak my desktop. It's been a long time in the making, when I started tweaking Gnome Shell I new really nothing about css. I have done some html years ago, but this was all new to me.
I've done a lot searching on the net and asking questions here (thx to all that answered them too Some have asked if I could zip it up so they can download Wow!! that amazes me u want to download this?? LOL!! I am honored as I don't consider myself an artist and no where near to one. I'm not sure if I release it if it will truly work on yours as I have only done the tweaks on my system. I might release it but I want to get the okay of the original authors first. As they are the true artists
Thanks to all of them for making such beautiful themes, icons and wallpapers. I am not a css programmer just a tech guy who loves Linux and being able to tweak it for my taste. You guys Rock!
I tweaked the gnome-shell-ANewStart theme to my liking. Which by itself is awesome!!.
OS: Arch Linux (installed with ArchBang) Theme: gnome-shell-theme-ANewStart by *alecive [link] (Modified a little by me by making the panel smaller added a little more shadow and changed the font to Ubuntu and removed the corner radius. I made the bottom panel to just use the bottom right of the screen (with the help of my friend ~0rAX0 [link] who showed me how to accomplish it thx man!!)
GTK + Theme: Radianceblue_0_66 by ~NanaBuluku [link] (modified the blue to match the wallpaper.)
Take a look at the #summary-mode you can tweak that to your liking, to give you a wingpanel like look that I think is pretty sweet since I use a dock at the bottom. Thx to my friend ~0rAX0 for telling me how, his eos theme is where I seen it first
